Beginning Knitting – Want to knit but don't know how? Here is the class for you. Learn how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Plus, learn how to increase and decrease stitches, as well as how to read a pattern and understand the vocabulary. Three projects will be completed in this class, including a hat! Classes starting monthly.
Crochet – Beginning and Advanced – Start with learning the basic stitches and terms you will need to complete a beginning project. More advanced classes are offered to those wishing to learn additional techniques and skills to complete a project of your choice. Instruction is also offered on an individual basis by appointment.
Felting – Start with a quick to knit purse that has several possible uses, and then we will walk you through the felting process. Once you have learned a few "tricks" of felting, you will discover how much fun you can have with a variety of projects—including hats, backpacks, and even a cute little hedgehog!
Intermediate Knitting – Learn basic sweater construction. Classes will cover ribbing, cables, directional decreases, sewing seams, picking up stitches, and more. You'll have a finished sweater at the end.
Luxury Afghan – Have fun with color, texture, and fiber. Combine several different yarns and, using huge needles, knit an heirloom afghan to be treasured by all.
Socks – Socks are fun and easy to make with just a little help. Learn to work with double pointed needles, turn a heel and shape a toe. Then go wild with the next pair!
Two-Color Knitting – Learn the Fair Isle and Intarsia technique of knitting to add different colors to your project. Please call for more information.
